  AGS Enterprises, LLC, dba Moxie Java Bistro, was formed in January 2007 by six family members who wanted to fulfill a life long desire to open a family operated business.  The timing of the venture was directly related to the birth of Anthony George, son of Michael and Renee George, who was born with a permanently disabling birth defect two years ago.  They needed time to become advocates for their son, while still providing for the family. Over the last year, The Algino’s and the Smith’s relocated their entire families across country in order to support this joint effort.  

  Owning and operating a restaurant seems to be a natural fit for several family members. Tujaque’s Restaurant, Fabacher’s Restaurant, and Jax Brewery in New Orleans are a large piece of family heritage for three of the sisters and co-founders. Michael George, another co-founder, also brings a tremendous amount of creativity and knowledge to this business with his 15 years of experience in the Atlanta Restaurant & Hospitality Industry.  Michael is a graduate of Johnson and Wales  in Providence, RI with a Culinary Degree and Certification as an Executive Chef.

  Why Moxie Java Bistro?  We loved the idea of establishing three concepts (café, gelato, bistro) in one location. Our guests lead very full lives; being able to provide something for everyone at any time of day was one of our key deciding factors for this site. Another factor was the ability to construct our own individual neighborhood bistro.  There are no two stores in the country that look the same.  With seating for 75, we have created a comfortable meeting place for our family, friends, Support Groups, Sports Team Parties, Volunteer Associations and other organizations we are involved with in the local community.
